As a freshly appointed Chief Curator, I overviewed the organization and installation of this exhibition curated by Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster. More than an exhibition, the space was conceived as an environment evoking “Ginza”, Tokyo’s famous avenue, on a Sunday afternoon when the street is temporarily closed to automobiles and is given over to pedestrians. Works by Angela Bulloch, Maurizio Cattelan, Anne Frémy, Liam Gillick & Gabriel Kuri, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Pierre Huyghe, Ange Leccia, Philippe Parreno, Allen Ruppersberg, Vidya & Jean-Michel, and Jean-Luc Vilmouth.
