Close-up of the Artist: Fabio Viale

February 2 – 26, 2012
Museo del Novecento, Milan

Italian artist Fabio Viale transforms ephemeral and industrial objects — paper bags, plastic crates, tires, paper airplanes, balloons — into monumental, totemic sculptures carved from precious, crystalline Carrara white marble. This exhibition presented four grand marble sculptures dated from 2004 to 2012 and was accompanied by a monographic publication.
